Beginning with self-portraits, he has since branched out to deliver portraits that consider more than the outer appearance of a person. Instead, he focuses on bringing out characteristics and moments that display the inner self. Creating sympathetic portraiture which then captures the essence of a person, David Stone believes in considering more than just the ‘face-value’ of his sitters.
