Combining a sense of wonder with individualist story, David Stone paints his montage and abstract works to explore the depiction of imagination. With heavy influences from collage art, he aims to create sophisticated paintings which seem to breathe character and life through the very paint itself, whether that is oil or watercolour. By warping seemingly unrelated images and then adding them to the same canvas, these works encourage the viewer to make connections where there might not be any.
